It’s time to say goodbye, Rice Pantry Marrickville 🍚❤️

What started over 10 years ago as a small catering business grew into something far bigger than we ever imagined. Along the way, we’ve had the privilege of feeding thousands of people - sharing in everyday lunches, family celebrations, community moments, and unforgettable events, including a very special lunch for King Charles. 👑

In 2017, we opened our St Peters shop, and in 2021 we brought Rice Pantry to Marrickville Metro. Just two weeks later, COVID lockdowns forced us to close our doors before we’d barely even begun. The years that followed weren’t always easy, but through every challenge, we kept showing up because of the incredible support, kindness and loyalty from all of you.

As we close this chapter, our hearts are full of gratitude.

To every customer who lined up for lunch, ordered catering, brought friends and family, shared kind words, or simply kept coming back - thank you for being part of our journey. You helped turn Rice Pantry into more than just a business. You made it a community.

And to our amazing staff, past and present - thank you for your hard work, care, resilience and heart. Rice Pantry would never have been what it was without each and every one of you. We’re so proud of what we built together 🙏

After five unforgettable years at Marrickville Metro, our last day will be Sunday 31st May and we’d love to see you one more time before we go.

This isn’t the end for Rice Pantry - it’s the beginning of a new chapter. We’re excited to put our full energy into growing our Rice Pantry Catering business into something even bigger and more special, continuing to share the food we love and be part of the celebrations, gatherings and moments that matter most. And if you’ve loved what we do, there’s still more to come at Pantori, our café in Arncliffe ☕️ .cafe
