Het is ons dit jaar helaas niet gelukt om een geschikte locatie te vinden die groot genoeg is om iedereen te ontvangen. Daarom hebben we met veel spijt besloten om de viering dit jaar over te slaan.
We vinden dit ontzettend jammer. Samen een stukje Nederlandse traditie naar Sydney brengen en de kinderen zo zien genieten, maakt dit feest ieder jaar weer bijzonder. ❤️
We zijn van plan om volgend jaar weer een gezellige Sinterklaasviering te organiseren. Zodra we meer weten, delen we dat natuurlijk hier!
Bedankt voor jullie begrip. We wensen jullie alvast een fijne Sinterklaastijd, met veel gezelligheid en natuurlijk de nodige pepernoten!

Did you know that Dutch boterkoek isn’t much like an ordinary cookie?
The name combines:
boter (butter) + koek (cake/cookie).
But don’t expect a small, crispy cookie.
Boterkoek is baked as one large, flat bake and then cut into pieces. The inside is soft, dense and rich.
And the name is accurate: butter is a key ingredient, together with flour and sugar.
Boterkoek also has a long history. Sources about a 17th-century Amsterdam biscuit shop already mention boterkoek among many other types of koek.
Thinking of taking a big piece because it’s “just a cookie”? You might want to start small — boterkoek is very rich!
