⚠️ Toongabbie community heads up
Looks like we had some very early “customers” this morning at 3:58am
Three young gentlemen decided the front door wasn’t exciting enough so they tried the smash the glass and see what happens method at Culture Grounds
From the footage it looks like
3 males
2 Caucasian appearance early teens
1 Pacific Islander appearance late teens
They also broke into the kebab shop and the Indian grocery next door and it looks like they grabbed a cash register from one of those shops and used it to smash our door
Just to clear things up for anyone who sees the footage that register on the floor isn’t ours we don’t keep cash on site
Alarm went off pretty quick and they ran off empty handed
Looks like they made their getaway on 2 motorised scooters which I’m guessing are probably stolen as well
The only thing they really managed to steal was our sleep at 3:58am
Honestly boys if you’re going to break in at that hour you could’ve at least left us a Google review.
All jokes aside this is now the third time we’ve had someone try this so just a heads up to the Toongabbie community
If anyone saw anything around 3:50 to 4am on the corner of Reynolds and Fitzwilliam Rd please let us know
On the bright side they did leave us some change on the ground… maybe to help pay the insurance and at least they didn’t take the coffee ☕
Thankfully no one was hurt and everyone is fine
Appreciate all the support from the Toongabbie community, small businesses really feel it when things like this happen
We’ll still be open tomorrow from 5:30am as usual
See you all then ☕

Dear Toongabbie community,
We are truly overwhelmed and humbled by the incredible turnout at Culture Grounds Espresso on Christmas Day. It felt so surreal to see everyone come together, filling our little café with such joy and celebration—it was like Santa had granted us the best Christmas wish ever (though I think he was just here for the coffee)!
You truly had to be there to believe it—the laughter, the joy, the love that filled the air. To witness and feel the joy of Christmas in such a powerful way was something extraordinary. It was as if the Christmas spirit was alive and glowing inside the café, touching every single person who came through.
To be the center of this incredible community—to be your tiny hub, your little gathering place that brings everyone together—is an honor we hold so dearly. It’s moments like these that remind us of the true meaning of Christmas: the birth of Jesus Christ, who brought light, hope, and love into the world.
We are so grateful for each and every one of you. Wishing you all a Merry Christmas filled with His everlasting peace and joy. We look forward to welcoming you back when we reopen on January 13th.
With gratitude and faith,
The Culture Grounds Espresso Team
