Yesterday we spent the afternoon with our friends from sharing the story behind the La Bomba and the people behind the coffee we serve every day.
It’s easy to think of coffee as just something in a cup. But behind it are years of relationships, trust, and commitment. Mule shared the story of César Buesaquillo, a producer in Colombia they’ve supported since 2019, securing part of his harvest at a fair price, giving him certainty to plan, invest, and grow. From La Bomba to Pink Bourbon, Yellow Geisha, and more to come, each one reflects César’s work, his land, and the life built around it.
Listening to this reminded us why we chose Mule from the beginning. There’s a deep respect for craft, for producers, and for the relationships behind every coffee. They’ve consistently delivered coffees we’re proud to serve, and more importantly, they’ve stood with us through the highs and the harder days too including our time in Regent St. That kind of support stays with you.
Thank you to everyone from our community who came on short notice. We honestly didn’t know what to expect, but seeing the room fill up, people asking questions, tasting together, and staying back to chat made the night really special.
We ended up closing later than usual, and somehow the night naturally finished with pancit bihon shared around tired, full, and still talking. One of those simple endings that just felt right.
It was an amazing night. Grateful for good coffee, good people, and partnerships built on care. 🙏
