Have you tried the Tuna Tostadas yet?
Raw tuna, avocado, jalapeño and oyster sesame dressing over crispy tortillas. Fresh, crunchy and one of those plates that disappears from the table pretty quickly.

Starters at Salmon & Bear are made for sharing across the table.
Warm sourdough, salmon crudo, sizzling garlic prawns, calamari straight from the fryer and a few smaller plates to start things properly before the grill takes over.

Not everything coming off the Mibrasa is steak or seafood.
Our cauliflower steak picks up the same smoky char from the grill, finished crisp on the outside and full of flavour all the way through.

When Sydney cools down, we keep things warm. Candles lit, fairy lights glowing, heaters on and blankets ready for the table.

Salmon cooked over charcoal on the Mibrasa. Crisp, golden skin on the outside, perfectly tender in the middle and just the right amount of smokiness from the grill.
Yes, it tastes as good as it looks.

Nights at Salmon & Bear.
A glass being poured, something coming off the grill, dogs under the table and no one in a rush to leave. Exactly how neighbourhood dinners should feel.

Steaks cooked over charcoal on the Mibrasa. High heat gives them a deep crust on the outside while keeping the centre tender and full of flavour. Once you’ve had steak cooked this way, it’s hard to go back.

Cosy corners, fairy lights, good wine and plates worth slowing down for.
Honestly, this is exactly why people come to Salmon & Bear.

Mum's the word.
Sacrifice. The two mum's closest to me give so much to this life of hospitality.
To Sian, my long suffering partner and mother of our wonderful son, Stanley. Even though I spend more time at home these days, it wasn't always that way. Owning a restaurant is a 24/7 existence that will always have it's moments. Thank you for looking after our family and supporting me always.
Victoria, everyone's mum at S&B at various times. Handling business daily and also raising three fabulous kids at home. It's no easy feat and comes with great personal sacrifice at times even though I know she loves her job (looking after everyone).
So today we celebrate these two super mums and all the other mums that will join us at Salmon & Bear.
We see you and appreciate you everyday.
Big love,
Joe x

That Salmon & Bear signature char starts with the Mibrasa.
High heat, open flame and just the right amount of smoke, giving every dish depth, texture and that unmistakable finish.

We’re open this Easter long weekend, Good Friday and Easter Saturday, for long lunches and dinner with family or friends.

Saturday is more open. Keep it simple from the grill or go for the Mibrasa experience with shared entrées and sides, followed by your own charcoal-cooked main.
An easy way to do the long weekend. No prep, no clean-up, just good food and a table with your people.
