To our customers & Leichhardt locals,
This coming Friday 21 August, we will once again be matching all funds from our Friday raffle and donating to the Chris O'Brien Lifehouse. The donations will be made towards the Richard Scoyler chair of the foundation, in memory of Professor Richard Scoyler AO who passed away earlier this year.
A renowned pathologist and a world leading figure on skin cancer and melanoma diagnoses, Richard became Australian of the Year in 2024 alongside his colleague Professor Georgina Long for their groundbreaking research in melanoma immunotherapy & contributions to medicine.
Richard was a Leichhardt local through and through, and was a regular here at The Royal. As his community, we want to honour his vision and legacy by raising funds for Chris O'Brien Lifehouse at our raffle this Friday.
The beautiful thing about Leichhardt is that it is one big community, and it often feels like one large extended family. We hope to see our family at the Royal this Friday to join us in remembering the life of one of Leichhardt's favourites.

To get to Norton Street, there are a few public transport options. You can take the bus and alight at Norton St near Marion St stop, or take the light rail and alight at Leichhardt North stop. If you prefer driving, you can park along Norton Street or on one of the side streets nearby. Keep in mind that parking regulations do apply during certain times so be sure to check the signage.
