While building the café, we went looking for reclaimed timber that felt warm, rustic and lived-in.
At a mill in Sydney’s Inner West, a few planks stood out, marked with small flecks of grey paint. Only later did we discover they had once been used as painters’ scaffolding on the Sydney Harbour Bridge, with the original RTA stamps still visible in the wood.
A small piece of Sydney history, now built into PGB.
