90 years ago, Harry “Tiger” Edwards started a legacy that would be interrupted by his service in WWII. Upon his return in 1945, he reopened his doors to the community he fought for, creating a Sydney icon that has stood the test of time. Today, we honour the sacrifice of all our veterans.

Some Harry’s trivia for you.

In 1936, Harry Edwards opened the very first caravan pie cart near the Woolloomooloo naval dockyard, simply called “Harry’s Cafe”.

And the “Cafe de Wheels” name? That came later, Sydney council rules meant mobile stalls had to move 12 inches every day. Harry did the daily shuffle, and the name stuck.

To get to Orange Grove Road in Liverpool by public transport, take the train or bus to Liverpool station. From there, you can hop on the L20 bus towards Parramatta and get off at the Orange Grove Road stop.

Alternatively, driving by car is also an option. If coming from Sydney, you can take the M4 motorway towards Parramatta, then turn onto Victoria Road and continue straight until you reach Orange Grove Road. There is parking available on the street, as well as a nearby parking lot for convenience.
