Musician and league tragic Denis Denis Carnahan writes and records a song every week of the footy season about the villains, heroes, controversies and outrageous pantomime of rugby league in Denis Carnahan’s Song Of The Week for ABC Sport. In his cult hit end of season live shows, he weaves these songs together as various rugby league characters, along with comic videos, to reveal the biggest narratives of the season.
The result is a hilarious mix of musical satire, parody, sketch and stand up comedy presented as a cabaret, complete with complementary half time oranges!

The Bridge Hotel on Victoria Road in Sydney is a must-visit destination for anyone who loves live music and entertainment. This premier pub has been supporting live music for over 35 years, making it the longest running entertainment venue in the city. The emphasis on blues and roots music has attracted numerous international touring acts from all over the world, including blues outfits from the Mississippi Delta, Zydeco bands from New Orleans, Cajun and Creole bands from Louisiana, West Coast Jump Jive outfits, Texas bar bands, Country legends from Nashville, Southern Soul artists from Memphis, guitar-flavored Chicago acts, New York-based blues and jazz acts, drum and beat based acts from the African Continent to our own local grown rock, pop and roots acts.
The Bridge Hotel has a big mix of blues, pop, rock, jazz, country, electronica & rockabilly from Australia & the world! Local band The Hippos became the resident band soon playing every Friday, Saturday and Sunday with their infectious rhythm and blues that had the whole pub a dance floor. Country rock and blues band Chasin The Train also began playing regularly along with many other acts who became resident or regular performers such as The Mighty Reapers and The Foreday Riders.
