A huge shoutout to our incredible LIAB family. This one was a true team effort and we couldn’t have done it without you.
We couldn’t be prouder to call Paddington home. This space is a big one for us, not just our 4th store, but our HQ. A place where the café, bakery, production kitchen, test kitchen and office all come together under one roof.

To feel this kind of support from the community already… it makes every late night and early morning worth it. Thank you for welcoming us so warmly.

There’s so much more to come from this space. I’ll take you all on a tour this week.

We’re certainly not in councils good books this month 😭😭

We’re so sad to share that our takeaway garage will be closing from Wednesday October 15th 💔. When we moved in a year ago, we had never done a big fit out before, we came from tiny take away shops and didn’t realise we needed a new DA to operate the takeaway garage, that mistake is on us. A few weeks ago, the council let us know we can’t keep trading without one. We’ve acted swiftly and have now started the process, which means submitting fresh paperwork, securing approvals, and renovating before reopening. We’ve been told this could take anywhere from 6–12 months..

Our Bondi store was always designed with two separate rooms, one for dine-in and one for takeaway. With the huge volume of takeaway we do, it’s always needed its own dedicated space. Running both out of the dine-in side just isn’t workable with the way our kitchen and service area are set up. That’s why we’re committing to this now. We still have nine years left on our lease, so while it’s short-term pain, it’s the right move for the long run. This little garage means so much to us…and to you. We will miss her a lot!

The good news, we’re moving our takeaway shop into the Greenbergs site from Thursday the 16th, while we work on the DA and renovations. Bondi takeaway will just be across the park from where we are located now, right next door Bistro Bondi, our new restaurant set to open end of October. Think: the same menu you know and love, more drinks, more seats, way more kitchen space to pump out your orders quickly…and a whole park right outside, perfect to hang all summer long!

Thank you for sticking with us through the ups and downs. It’s been a big month of council learnings 😮‍💨😳😬😭 Your support means the world to us and we can’t wait to welcome you back once our beautiful garage is ready to roll it’s door up again 🫶
