A VERY good result at the Sydney Royal Fine Food Awards! 👏
We’re incredibly proud to share that 15 of the 18 products we entered this year were awarded medals:
🏆 5 Gold
🥈 6 Silver
🥉 4 Bronze
And we’re especially proud of our gluten-free entries. This was the first year the Sydney Royal Fine Food Awards included two dedicated gluten-free categories and all five Wholegreen products we entered received a medal.
For a bakery that started with a simple mission to make gluten-free food that is genuinely delicious, moments like this mean a lot.
Behind every medal are hours of testing, tasting, tweaking and baking by our incredible team.
A huge thank you to our bakers, pastry chefs and everyone behind the scenes who care about every loaf, pastry and crumb. 🍞

Our Small Artisan Seeded Sourdough Loaf is soft, moist and packed with seeds for a little extra texture in every slice. 🤎
With a slightly bitter crust and a soft crumb that stays fresh for 4–5 days, it’s made for morning toast, sandwiches or simply enjoying with your favourite spread. 🥪💁♀️

🍞 White rice flour
🍞 Sprouted quinoa
🍞 Brown rice flour
🍞 Potato starch
🍞 Sourdough starter
🍞 Psyllium husk
🍞 Linseed

Finding good gluten-free food can be one of the trickier parts of navigating coeliac disease.
For Coco, discovering Wholegreen meant finding bread she genuinely enjoyed. She now makes sure her mum always a loaf stocked in the pantry. 🍞

Did you know Wholegreen Bakery was founded from Cherie’s passion for food and a desire to see better gluten-free options? 🤎
In 2014, Cherie set out to create a bakery where everything tasted delicious, was made from scratch with real ingredients, 100% gluten free and Coeliac Australia accredited.
Her own experience with coeliac disease, alongside her daughter’s diagnosis, gave this work a deeply personal meaning. What started as a desire to create better gluten-free food has grown into Wholegreen Bakery, with cafés in Alexandria, Bondi Junction, Neutral Bay, Manly and Sydney CBD, as well as fresh sourdough available through Harris Farm Markets across NSW, QLD and ACT. 🙌
Today, Cherie continues to advocate for the coeliac community as a Coeliac Australia Brand Ambassador, while sharing her passion for gluten-free baking through her cookbook, Gluten-Free Baking Made Simple, and her baking masterclasses. 🍰👩🍳
A lot has changed since 2014, but the reason behind Wholegreen remains the same: making gluten-free food that people genuinely love.

Meet our new Ham & Cheese Danish. Made with free-range leg ham, cheddar, mozzarella and delicious gruyère bechamel. This utterly scrumptious delight replaces our Ham & Cheese Croissant for a little while and launches Saturday 29th August, available in-store, online for delivery and via Uber Eats.

For all the dads out there, our Steak & Twøbays Stout Pie, a special collaboration between us and Twøbays for Father's Day (Sunday 6th September). It's made with chunky steak, mushrooms, onion and garlic, slow-cooked in stout which gives the sauce a rich malt flavour. It's so good!

If I was staying in Sydney longer I'd have got a sourdough loaf for sure. The sourdough roll kept me going as a next best option.”
